10.4. Lease commitments Companies belonging to the group have entered into long-term financial obligations for the lease of business premises, amounting to approximately € 20 million, € 4,348,558 of which on a term of less than 1 year. These lease commitments have varying terms; the maximum term is 14 years. 10.5. Guarantees The company has issued a guarantee for the payment of excise duties amounting to € 500,000. The company is involved in legal action with regard to the amount of the guarantee. The court has ruled that the guarantee amount must be raised to € 1,000,000. However, the company has lodged an appeal against this ruling. Management is confident that the dispute will ultimately be settled in a manner that is acceptable to the company. 10.6. Investment commitments At year-end 2020 the company had investment obligations amounting to € 86,025 million. 10.7. Liability for participating interest Subsidiary OK West B.V. participates in a commercial partnership (a ‘Vennootschap onder Firma’), Exploitatiemaatschappij Niedorp V.O.F. in Zijdewind (14.30%), for which it is jointly and severally liable. 10.8. Further rights and obligations The claim filed within the framework of a legal action as at the balance sheet date has not been included in the accounts, due to the fact that it is difficult to predict its outcome. In addition, a guarantee amounting to € 38,653 has been issued in connection with lease commitments.
